Two days after Mohamed Salah left the Champions League final in tears after he landed awkwardly from a Sergio Ramos takedown, an Egyptian lawyer is ready to sue the Real Madrid captain. 


According to GOAL, the lawyer, who reportedly goes by the name of Bassem Wahba, has launched a €1 billion (£873 million) lawsuit against Ramos after he brought down the Liverpool forward in the first half.

Wahba announced on Egyptian television channel Sada El-Balad that he has already filed the complaint to FIFA.


"Ramos intentionally injured Mo Salah and should be punished about his actions. I've filed a lawsuit and a complaint to FIFA." he claimed via GOAL.

He also accused the Spaniard of a deliberate act and inflicting "physical and psychological harm" upon a nation, and the 25-year-old himself.

Ramos has certainly hit the headlines after the Champions League final on Saturday night.

There's already a petition to punish the defender for 'intentionally hurting Mohamed Salah' during the match and it's already got over 300,000 signatures.

Meanwhile, Ramos himself issued a message to Salah following Saturday's meeting, sending his best wishes to the forward ahead of the World Cup next month:

"Sometimes football shows you it's good side and other times the bad. Above all, we are fellow pros. #GetWellSoon".

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp actually likened Ramos' actions to a wrestling move.

"Of course it was a big moment in the game," he said. "I know if you say something like that after a game you lost, it sounds like you are a little bit a bad loser but it was, for me, kind of a harsh challenge.

"It's like wrestling a little bit and it's unlucky then that Mo fell on his shoulder."
